Overview

LET'S TALK

EDUCATING & ENRICHING

Rebecca Kling elevates the stories of transgender people and their allies through storytelling seminars, community workshops, political advocacy, and arts education.

She works with families, community leaders, and elected representatives to protect transgender rights, and push the dialogue on sexual and gender identity into the future.

Popular workshop and seminar topics include:

The History of Transgender Narratives

From ancient myths and folktales to the furthest reaches of the Internet, stories of gender and identity can be found everywhere you look.

This presentation tracks the history of transgender narratives, including some of the first transgender newsletters, the rise of trans blogging, and the cutting edge of modern video-gaming.

Supporting the Transgender Community

Being an amazing ally is easier than you think.

This workshop provides participants with concrete, practical things that they can do to support individual transgender people, as well as the transgender community as a whole.

Storytelling to Change the World

Personal stories are one of the most powerful tools we have at our disposal for advocacy, activism, and to pursue social change.

This interactive, how-to workshop helps participants craft their own stories, shows them how to shape their stories for maximum impact, and gives them resources for sharing that story with the world.
