STORIES NEED TELLING

Rebecca Kling's life in activism and education stem from roots in theater and performance.  From 2010 through 2016 she worked as a touring educator and performance artist, appearing at conferences, theatre festivals, and queer happenings across the United States

She wrote and staged a series of multidisciplinary performance pieces, which sought to share queer narratives with wide audiences. Her work blended conversational storytelling, vaudevillian comedy, and elements of story theater, and drew praise from The Chicago Tribune, TimeOut Chicago, the Michigan Journal, and the Indy Star, among others.

Rebecca has also taught acting and theater games at schools in the Chicagoland area, and at the Piven Theatre Workshop in Evanston, IL.

Video introduction to Rebecca's artistic work

Rebecca remains actively involved with theater and the arts, and is strong supporter of new work and new voices.

She is always happy to lend her experience and expertise to artists and arts organizations, and welcomes opportunities to play a part in the development of engaging, entertaining work that advances the dialogue on sexual and gender identity.
